Spectacular medium-sized tree! Has white, camellia-like flowers, great fall color and wonderful exfoliating bark. Dark green leaves in summer turning red, yellow and orange. Likes semi-shade in TN. Has done better for us protected from hot afternoon sun. One of the finest trees!  Exfoliating with patches of gray, brown & orange bark.
